Central Universities Entrance Test (CUET) is an all-India entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admissions in undergraduate and postgraduate courses in different central and state universities in India including Delhi University, BHU, Allahabad University, Tezpur University, and The University of Hyderabad among others.
CUET 2022 will provide a single-window opportunity to students to seek admission in the Central Universities of their choice across the country. The Central Universities Entrance Test will be conducted in almost 13 languages at around 154 exam centres around the country for academic year 2022 - 2023
CUET Important Dates
The official CUET 2022 notification for Central Universities Entrance Test (CUET) has been released. The online registration link has been reactivated from 27th May to 31st May 2022 [9 pm] in view of the representations received from the candidates. Tentatively, NTA will conduct the online registration process for the CUET entrance exam 2022 in the 1st and 2nd weeks of July 2022.

CUET Application Form
Step 1 : Visit the official website of the CUET to fill the Form
Step 2 : Click on the ‘Apply Online’ tab to register for the programme.
Step 3 : After clicking, candidates will be able to see three programmes options- UG, PG, and RP. Click on the link you wish to apply for.
Step 4 : Complete the registration process by entering details like program applied for, name, valid e-mail-id, mobile number, date of birth, and verification code displayed on the screen.
Step 5 : Once all details are submitted, the application number and password are generated and are sent to the registered email address and mobile number.
Step 6 : Use the application number and password to log in and fill up the application form by entering the log-in details like personal, academic qualification and communication address.
Step 7 : Upload scanned images of a recent passport-sized photograph and signature in prescribed format and dimensions.
Step 8 : Select the examination centres- In order of preference, select and enter the exam centres.
Step 9 : On successful online application submission with payment of fees through an automated e-mail and SMS is sent to the registered e-mail ID and mobile number.

As CUET is an entrance exam for admissions to UG courses at the Central Universities, which have been established under an Act of the Parliament, each Central University must follow the norms set by the Government of India, with respect to intake and reservation of seats. NTA stands for the National Testing Agency (NTA). It is established by Ministry of Education, MoE (Earlier known as Ministry of Human Resource Development-MHRD) as an independent/ autonomous, selfreliant and self-sustained premier testing organization.
CUET (UG) – 2022 stands for Common University Entrance Test UG 2022.
CUET (UG) – 2022 will provide a single window opportunity to students to
seek admission in any of the Central Universities (CUs) across the country,
for the academic session 2022-23.
CUET (UG) – 2022 will provide a common platform and equal
opportunities to candidates across the country, especially those from rural
and other remote areas and help establish better connect with the
Universities.
It is a single entrance test for admission to Central Universities and other
participating Institutions which will be admitting the candidates to their UG
courses for the academic year 2022-23 based on the NTA Score secured by
them in this test.
The Common University Entrance Test CUET (UG) – 2022 will be helpful
to a student in the following ways:-
i. In the past, students used to be under stress to secure more than 95%
marks in Class XII Board Examination so as to get admission in the
University of their Choice. With the introduction of CUET (UG) –
2022, the stress on them for securing very high marks in the one and
only Board Examination stands reduced.
ii. Marks given by different Boards vary widely on account of the
typology of questions and the scoring pattern. These things will now
get standardised under CUET (UG) - 2022.
iii. The question paper pattern in CUET (UG) – 2022 will be objective
type comprising Multiple Choice Questions and hence evaluation will
be objective. In this manner, subjectivity in evaluation of the
descriptive type of papers in the traditional Class XII exams of
different Boards will not handicap the candidates in getting admission
to the University of their choice.
iv. CUET (UG) – 2022 will be held in the Computer Based Test (CBT)
mode where result processing will be done through technology with
no human intervention.
v. CUET (UG) – 2022 will be based on Class XII syllabus and hence
candidates of Class XII need not prepare for it separately.
vi. In CUET (UG) – 2022, students have a wide range of options-i.e. 27
subjects, 33 Languages and General Test to choose from. They can
select the Subject/Language/General Test of their choice, as per the
requirements of the University where admission is sought. They can
also choose any of the 13 languages specified therein as medium of their test.
The Common University Entrance Test CUET (UG) – 2022 will provide a
common platform and equal opportunity across the country especially to
those students coming from rural and urban areas including candidates from
the three National Boards CBSE, AICSE and NIOS.
In CUET (UG) - 2022, students have a wide range of options-i..e 27
subjects, 33 Languages and General Test to choose from. They can select
the Subject/Language/General Test of their choice, as per the requirements
of the University where admission is sought. They can also choose any of
the 13 languages specified therein as medium of their test.
In the past, candidates had this grievance that though they scored 99% in
Class XII, they could not get admission in the Universities of their choice.
This was basically because of varied typology of questions and scoring
pattern across different Boards in the country.
These things will now get standardized with the introduction of CUET (UG)
- 2022.
The question paper pattern in CUET (UG) – 2022 will be objective type
comprising Multiple Choice Questions and hence evaluation will be

The syllabus for the subject/domain tests of CUET (UG) – 2022 will be
based on Class XII so that there is no pressure on the candidates to prepare
for both the exams.
The effort that would be required to do well at CUET (UG) – 2022 will also
help candidates to prepare well for their Board Examinations. Thereby, it
would strengthen their learning.
